Who is eligible?
WDACS New Freedom transportation services are available to the elderly and/or individuals with disabilities. There are no restrictions from applying; however the following are required to determine for eligibility priority:
- Applicant is at least 60 years of age, or
- Applicant is disabled

In some cases, applicants may be asked to submit documents, in person, to new freedom staff at the address above.
What documents will I need to provide? - The following information will be asked of potential clients, to establish contact details and to determine potential eligibility:
- ID (Government issued ID)
- Date of Birth
- Telephone number
- Home address (street number/name, city and zip code)
- Mailing address
- E-mail address (if possible)
- Disability Status (Doctor’s letter, Access Service Card, and etc.)
When will I find out if I am accepted to the program? - Potential clients that complete the application process and provide all requested documentation will know of potential eligibility when they receive a phone call from a mobility manager to have the discussion regarding destinations and mileage limits within 30 days of their application date.
Ineligible applicants will receive a letter in the mail to provide the reasoning for ineligibility determination within 30 days of their application date.
Please note that being deemed eligible does not guarantee immediate services. Depending on program constraints, eligible applicants may be placed on a waiting list.
